Special Needs: Skin infection; Heartworm positive

NOT READY FOR ADOPTION FOR AWHILE...

7/1/09- We have Barney out of the shelter in LA and he is now in Arkansas. He is heartworm positive so will need treatment. He got his rabies and other shots. He was negative for Demodex mange with the vet scrapings, but he has half of his hair missing and has the symptoms. He is on antibiotics and medication for hookworms that are bad and can cause hair loss too. He is very friendly and social and wants to be in on the action. He was getting a bath and had to see every dog in each kennel along the way. He is very very small and has a lot of energy. He has gorgeous eyes and loves to be held. We can't wait to see his AFTER pictures as he is going to be so GORGEOUS. He needs sponsors to donate to his care as he has a long ways to go before ready for adoption.


5/30/09- Poor Barney is in a shelter and waiting for BoxAR to find room for him so he can get demodex mange treatment. He was scheduled to be euthanized, but he was saved. We don't know a lot about him yet and hope to get him to AR soon. Please help sponsor this sweet boy who needs a chance to have a happy life.

We are not a shelter or pound. We don't have a facility. We are all volunteers who love the Boxers. We have jobs and families and don't have "regular business hours". For this reason, we don't show the dogs until an application has been submitted.
